Catamaran Sabore Overview

Saboré offers you the ultimate experience in luxury and style while sailing the British Virgin Islands on a Privilege 585 catamaran. Her understated elegance in furnishings and accommodations, knowledgeable and personable crew, and incredible food will ensure that you feel pampered, relaxed, and revitalized.

Saboré (sa-BOR-ray) is Portugese for indulgence or in good taste.

Accommodating up to eight guests, Saboré will meet your high expectations for your BVI adventure. The simplicity of Saboré's design is deceiving - the elegance and sophistication of amenities are unsurpassed in yachts of her class.

The catamaran's bridgedeck salon offers sophisticated electronics including Internet access, a multimedia system that includes 37 inch screen/DVD surround sound system, and iPod docking station to allow guests to bring their own "tunes". The cockpit offers an exclusive 72 inch DVD projector so you can watch your favorite movies under the stars. And don't miss the underwater lighting to allow nighttime viewing of the sea's creatures.

The staterooms are equally expansive: en-suite baths with multi-jet spa showers, king and queen beds, 6'6" headroom, individually controlled air conditioning, 600 thread count sheets, vanities with hair dryers, and exquisitely comfortable Tempur-pedic Swedish mattresses. Of course, thick and comfy terry bathrobes are also provided.

Back on deck each hull has shallow steps that take you to the waters edge with accessible swim ladders. Scuba diving, water-skiing, tubing and all types of actives are available on board your private luxury charter yacht!

Why you should book Sabore!

Sabore is a high quality yacht that presents as well - or better - than yachts 10 years younger. Sabore is also crewed by a top crew!

Reviews for Sabore with Rich & Lisa:

Spending a week sailing with Rich and Lisa was a fantastic experience. Without a doubt, it was the best trip my family has taken together, ever.

Sabore is immaculate with great space and comfortably accommodated my family of eight.

The food was unbelievable gourmet and abundant in proportions.

Lisa was most hospitable and organized which enhanced the efficiency of the trip. She took care of our every need.

Rich knows the waters and quiet anchoring spots to avoid the crowds. The water sports were cool and the diving and snorkeling fantastic.

John Lane at Sailing Directions was professional and well organized. He responded immediately to my questions about logistics. Most importantly, he identified a wonderful boat and crew.

Bottom line- Lisa and Rich are two wonderful people who will provide your family or friends a great experience.

Lisa and Rich are awesome! They are extremely friendly and taking care of everything, the know the places and each nice spot on the BVIs, always accommodating for us to be comfortable and enjoying our days off. They are very attentive and have a really good balance between time alone and being with you playing games with the kids etc. Very nice conversation all the trip and nice music. Just an amazing couple who we call friends.

Nothing couldn't be better with Sabore! Everything perfect all the time, we really enjoyed every activity, paddle boarding for the first time and the crew always supporting and helping you on it! Kayak amazing all equipment and snorkeling were in excellent quality. We did scuba diving as well, walking on the island and booking a spa in one of the resorts, they make it so easy for you to enjoy the trip!

The food aboard Sabore is like having luxury restaurant on the sea! rRch and Lisa prepared delicious and well presented food each meal without exception. Flexible in the time to have breakfast, the coffee always there when you wake up, the food with lots of variety, flexibility and spectacular, is unbelievable how so good food could be made in a yacht.

Anegada is just beautiful a must do in the trip, every spot to spend the night was quiet and tranquil, every morning a new start, amazing snorkeling places, beautiful white sand beaches, wonderful sailing and awesome sunrise spots. Excellent balance to visit different places without rushing it, you really have the time to enjoy it in every way.

Reviews for Sabore with previous crew:

Colin and Penny were great with kids. They balanced itinerary, menu and activities so we all had the time of our lives. Was Sabore extremely comfortable. The menu was a good balance of kids and adult fare. Penny often had to cook separate meals and was happy to do so. Everything was great. We plan on going back to Sabore next year.

sailing itinerary Sample Itinerary

Experience the Adventure of Sailing the British Virgin Islands. The BVI are a magical Caribbean archipelago consisting of about 60 islands, islets, rocks and cays. They are a sailor's paradise with steady trade winds and numerous sheltered anchorages and protected coves. Compared to the neighboring U.S. Virgin Islands, the BVI remain remarkably laid back. On the lush islands you will find no building taller than the nearest palm tree. Under the crystal blue sea you will discover a multitude of pristine coral reefs, tropical fish and sea turtles.

Come see why these islands are called "Nature's Little Secret".

Not sure what you are going to do on a boat all day for a week? Here's a few suggestions!

  • Snorkel the pristine waters right from the easy access swim platform off the stern, go scuba diving with your professional PADI Instructor.
  • If you're not a certified diver, take a Discover Scuba class with your Captain.
  • Explore nature trails that lead you to spectacular panoramic views on almost every island. Hiking or running, your crew are happy to lead the way.
  • Order a beach picnic from your Chef.
  • Take a kayak expedition.
  • Wander a secluded stretch of unspoiled beach and search for shells.
  • Dine ashore to sample some of the islands culinary delights. Anegada is famous for it's BBQ, lobster on the beach.
  • Participate in a West Indian "Jump Up" and dance the night away to calypso steel drum bands and local reggae music.
  • Sail a Hobie Cat in North Sound, Virgin Gorda.
  • Nightly happy hour on board with your Captain's libations.
  • Stargaze from the trampolines for Nature's finest show.
  • Bird watch the many varieties of tropical island birds.
  • Shop 'till you drop at the many unique island shops and boutiques.
  • Hang out at a palm thatched beach bar and get to know the locals.
  • Take a tour of an upscale resort and be thankful you're on your own private yacht with a different view every day!
  • Visit Peter Island Resort and spend the afternoon enjoying a massage and their wonderfully secluded spa and private beach.
  • Relax in a hammock on the beach under the shade of a palm tree.
  • Read a book from the ship's library, in the shaded cockpit.
  • Watch movies in your own cabin, the salon or on the DVD projector in the cockpit.
  • Take an island tour in an open air jeep with a local tour guide.
  • Learn to sail and hoist the mains'l with your crew.
  • Go snorkeling on a fish and coral identification tour.
  • Water-ski, wake board or tube.
  • Relax with a cool drink while floating on a noodle. Noodle party!
