Captain Derek Christian

Captain Derek Christian, After a successful career in the automotive industry Derek pivoted toward a life long passion; life on the water. Entering the yachting industry in 2015 and quickly working his way through the chain of command to holding not only a 200 ton skipper license but has course work, formal training and experience as a five star chef.  Derek started working on super yachts but has found more passion on smaller yachts where the client interaction is more personal.  He loves to share his passion for the water, desire for an active and healthy life, fabled stories of the history of the islands, unforgettable meals and cocktails with beautiful sunsets on Get Along’s upstairs sky view lounge.

Chef Peta Daniel

Born and raised in South Africa, I was influenced by a mixing pot of different cultures and flavours from Indian to Cape Malay, Dutch to European. I grew up on a farm where growing, sourcing and thinking carefully about ingredients was part of life. Living in Cape Town for ten years I was lucky enough to gain significant experience in wine pairing working with top chefs from around the world. My most recent position serving a party of 11 was the most rewarding so far!  Providing a rich and full culinary experience for so many and fueling their need for good energy while they snorkel, swim, enjoy the beaches and stay active around all the islands have to offer is the greatest pleasure.  In serving larger groups I can be more creative in providing colorful, tasty, homey plates incorporating different textures and a fusion of flavors.   Whether its full meals, hors’ d’oeuvres, plated charcuterie and cheese boards, designed and cooked ladies lunches, afternoon teas and canapés, the creativity in providing unique experiences for every meal is my passion.
