Air-conditioned throughout, Lone Star features one of the most lavish and spacious salon and bar areas found on any luxury yacht.

A new art work from an internationally famous French artist, Laurence Setton has been selected to decorate the yacht.

Outside, enjoy over 2500 square feet of uncluttered deck space, a large cockpit seating / dining area and too many over-stuffed sun cushions to count!

Discover Lone Star; the perfect blend of luxury, comfort and space.

About the crew aboard Yacht Lone Star
Your Crew:   John & Maxine White - 4 crew in total
Description:

Captain John White takes great pleasure on behalf of his crew to welcome you aboard Lone Star. Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, 'Whitey' is an explorer and traveler by nature. He will thrill you with tales of his many travels whether it is about his trips across the Australian outback, a 63-day canoe trip down the Amazon, sailboat racing on San Francisco Bay and along the California coast and Mexico or the stories of his many years exploring Central and South America by land and sea.

Whitey's background is in electronics. After ten years in San Francisco, he set sail with his soon-to-be wife, Maxine, down the coast to Panama and into the Caribbean. Once arriving in the British Virgin Islands, they originally worked as crew for a major charter company and then owned their own catamaran which they chartered for many years.

Whitey holds a RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and has been a PADI Dive Instructor for 18 years. Whitey's open and confident personality sets any person at ease as he shares his intimate knowledge of sailing around the islands and diving in the ocean.

Originally from the land-locked state of Utah, Maxine had never been sailing until she met Whitey in San Francisco. She quickly took to sailing and it was not long before she quit her job in the San Francisco Financial District and sailing under the Golden Gate with Whitey.

She has since completed over 45,000 blue water miles. In 1992 Whitey and Max married on Cane Garden Bay, Tortola. During their many years of chartering they have hosted over 2000 guests. After a few years in the BVI's, they spent two and a half years chartering the San Blas Islands and Panama during which they completed 18 transits of the Panama Canal.

Max's treats from the galley are a combination of the cuisines of the countries she has visited and explored while utilizing fresh local ingredients. While living in Australia, she owned her own Personal Chef and Catering company and is a major award winner at a Caribbean culinary competition. Maxine is a PADI Dive Master who is as comfortable leading a group of divers or snorkelers in the water or working the sails of a boat as she is in the galley.

Matt Wierzba has been a life long sailor, is a 20 year SCUBA dive veteran and avid sea kayaker, surfer and traveler. His diverse sailing background includes the refit of his 30 foot Tahiti Ketch, building a Wharram catamaran, and extensive sailing in Monterey Bay, California aboard his Ericson 27.

An Atlantic crossing as deckhand on board a CNB 77 in the Fall of 2007 confirmed his decision to make sailing a full time career. Matt is a licensed Acupunturist with 7 years owning and managing his integrated medicine business in Bath, Maine. Matt is enthusiastic in providing the guests of Lone Star with a great time from water sports, snorkeling or making their cocktails.

While growing up in Oregon and living in Brazil, Ecuador, Hawaii and California, Helen Hudson has had a variety of sport experiences including sailing, SCUBA diving, hiking, camping, kayaking and competing in foot races, triathlons and multi-day adventure races.

She has degrees in Spanish and Anthropology and is a Certified Massage Therapist and dance instructor. Helen has worked with environmental non-profit agencies to clean up marine pollution and has educated children in Outdoor School about water resources. With 10 years experience providing service in restaurants, and a commitment to each guest's comfort while on board, Helen completes the team of Lone Star as Stewardess.
