Captain Jason (Jay) hails from Seaside Park, NJ, where he grew up on the Barnegat Bay sailing hobie cats and sunfish. He spent much of his adolescence on the water helping his father on their commercial fishing vessel.
After meeting his wife, Bernadette, and discovering they share the same passion for the sea they spent 5 years cruising along the East Coast and Florida Keys and started a successful sport fishing charter business. Jay has become proficient in the art of inshore and offshore sport fishing and has a long list of species caught to his credit, including prized big game fish such as Blue Marlin. He is also a Padi dive master; you can jump into the clear blue waters with Jay and enjoy the best diving in the Caribbean.
Captain Jay will help you enjoy all that the USVI and BVI has to offer including sailing, diving, snorkeling and exploring the many islands of the area. He has many stories and experiences to share and hopes you will share yours as well.
Chef and Captain Bernadette also hails from Seaside Park, NJ and grew up on the Jersey shore. She has always had a love for the ocean and now holds a USCG Captain's license. She has an AAS in the baking and pastry arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, and a BS in animal science and technology from the University of Rhode Island.
After a career in the culinary world, that included working at the 1996 Olympics and for top resorts she met and married Jay. She is an accomplished boat handler, deck hand and sailor. Her passion started in the baking and pastry arts, but her diverse culinary experience lends itself to all palates. She is an avid photographer, bird and nature enthusiast and enjoys an active healthy lifestyle. Her love for cuisine, the sea and of course Capt. Jay, make for a hostess that is passionate about making meals, memories and adventures that won't be forgotten.
