Captain - Timothy Laughridge grew up on Boston?s north shore in the town of Manchester by the Sea and currently has his home-base in Newport, RI.

His love for the sea and sailing steered him toward a successful career in the yachting world. Timothy has spent the better part of 25 years serving in various capacities in the yachting industry beginning in 1979 as a gourmet chef aboard one of the most popular sailing charter yachts of all time.

His 20 years experience as a captain is multi-faceted, including private yachts, charters, world-wide ocean deliveries, grand-prix racing (both in and off-shore), with his last two campaigns being multi-yacht fleet management positions.

In parallel, Timothy has worked as a Project Manager for both new-builds and refits, working with yacht yards around the globe.

He is currently the captain of Sariyah and has been from the planning stage, through the build and during her world cruising.

He is a qualified Master with a 1600 ton license with auxiliary sail endorsement. He is also STCW certified.

Sariyah also has a professional Chef, Engineer, Mate, Deck Hand & Stewardess.
