Mark was raised on the coastline of South Africa. His love for sailing started at the tender age of 10 when he was home schooled for six months aboard his fathers sailing yacht while they cruised the islands of the Indian Ocean.
Mark is a highly qualified yacht captain and holds a Yacht Master Ocean and Yacht Master Mariner Class 4 certificate. Mark has logged in excess of 60,000 miles of blue water sailing with multiple Indian and Atlantic Ocean crossings. He is a qualified PADI Dive Instructor with experience ranging from leading adrenaline filled shark dives in the murky waters off the KwaZulu Natal coast of South Africa, to exploring untouched 18 century wrecks in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean off St Helena Island.
Mark has crewed aboard some of the worlds most well known super yachts. His extensive knowledge of the Caribbean and water sports ensures your safety and leads to a dream vacation for all.
Tara earned her Masters in Education and taught science in the US and Latin America before she directed her passion into culinary field. After being trained by some of the renowned CIA (Culinary Institute of America) chefs she perfected her unique style of fusion cooking on board large motor yachts.
Six years ago she met Mark and made the transition to sail yachts bringing with her the culinary expertise and level of service rarely found on sailing yachts. Tara prides herself in creating customized menus with freshly prepared foods to suit each guest's tastes. What also makes Tara a special chef is that she takes such pride and interest in cooking her culinary delights which makes dinning onboard a pleasure for both young and old.
Jason was raised in sunny Durban, South Africa. His love for the ocean began at a tender age when his dad would take him and his 3 brother's lobster fishing on their family boat. After finishing High school at a prestigious Cape Town school, Jason studied film and ran a successful Film Production company, before following his passion for sailing. He is a keen wake boarder and is eager to hone your skills in wakeboarding, waterskiing or tubing. Jason and Jo met in high school 10 years ago and have been together for 3 years now. Their warm personalities make them a pleasure to have as your crew.
Jo hails from Cape Town, South Africa. She has always been a water baby and is happiest on the water; be it sailing, surfing or diving. After completing a BSC in Consumer Science and a diploma in Clinical Nutrition she became a medical representative for a well known pharmaceutical brand. She has decided to follow her dream of working in the yachting industry. There is nothing too big or small for Jo to handle to ensure you have an unforgettable vacation. With her bubbly outlook on life and go-getter attitude, Jo always gives more than expected and is an asset to the team.
