 Marmot Yacht Overview:

Marmot is a luxurious 67ft Lagoon catamaran chartering exclusively in the British Virgin Islands. With a beam of 37ft the yacht offers an abundance of space for groups of up to eight guests.

Marmot's large covered cockpit area has ample dining and lounging space for eight people. Up top Marmot has flat decks which make for easy, safe movement around the yacht. With the oversized trampolines and lounging mats, there's no shortage of comfortable areas for sun bathing during the day or star gazing at night.

The yacht's interior boasts both style and elegance with a very spacious salon offering multiple seating areas and 360 degree views. The saloon also features a 32in flat screen TV and DVD.

Marmot's four guest cabins each have their own private en-suite bathrooms, TV/DVD players and individual air-conditioning controls.

About the crew aboard Yacht Marmot
 Your Crew:   Ron & Anya
 Description:

Ronald hails from South Africa and he has been sailing since he was 10 years old. Ronald has spent his time, and thousands of nautical miles, captaining yachts in the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and is a certified RYA Yacht master.

In 1997 Ronald competed in the GP 14 world championship and in 1998 he was South Africa Youth's Laser National Champion along with various provincial championships and most currently the Fireball National champion. He has always yearned for a life on the water, and as the captain of the 67ft charter catamaran Marmot, his dream is fulfilled. Not only does he have a natural ability for sailing, he also loves diving, skiing, kite surfing and fishing. Ronald is a delightful host and understands the importance of good service. He looks forwards to meeting new people and sharing his joy of the sea with you.

Entertaining and cooking are in Anya's DNA. Her family owns a restaurant in South Africa and she practically grew up in the kitchen, learning to cook at the age of 13. Working in a family restaurant, she learned how to manage and run a busy kitchen. She also honed her catering and service skills in the dining room. To broaden her horizons, she left South Africa and moved to the UK working in sales and marketing. Later she decided cooking was really her passion and she left the corporate world behind her.

Anya is a fun loving person who always looks for new challenges and adventures that come with life on the water. Be it diving, sailing, fishing or just taking it easy Anya believes that everything you do should be done to the best of your ability. This philosophy is clearly demonstrated by her cooking skills and attention to detail.

Ronald and Anya are a winning team that will make sure your vacation on Marmot is an amazing experience and one you will wish to repeat many, many times.

Guest Comments:
Just arrived home and we had an excellent time, can't wait to do this again already! Thank you for all your assistance with booking this trip, dealing with you has been a pleasure.

The crew definitely went the extra mile! Would HIGHLY recommend them to all our friends!

When we booked this trip we had never done a crewed charter before - we would highly recommend this - we had to do no thinking, working or worrying - Ronald had everything covered, and as far as Anya; you can't get a better chef, we had planned on eating out more but her cooking was so good that we ate on the boat a lot more than we had planned.

They are very ambitious people and also very responsible, they definitely made our trip. We originally were disappointed that the original crew we had picked were not available and had our doubts about Ron and Anya as they were so young but after a couple of hours all doubts had disappeared!

Ronald changed everything and anything we wanted on a moments notice. Our wishes were always met and exceeded. We will miss them and if they ever come to Canada will have a place to stay and friends waiting for them.

Encore was very clean and Ron and Anya had all the cabins cleaned each morning - beds made, washrooms cleaned and new linens! I was very surprised they do so much for you.

Anya is a terrific chef, her culinary skills are out of this world and the food was also plentiful!

Yes we enjoyed our itinerary in the British Virgin Islands - and when we weren't happy with where WE chose to go Ronald had no hesitations on moving to a new location.

Very happy with Sailing Directions and will definitely use your services and recommend you to our friends. You made booking all this easy!
