Captain John Mashburn hails from a little town in Alabama and brings his southern hospitality to the Caribbean.

John graduated from the University of Alabama in 1992. After 8 years in the service of the United States he decided it was time to go sailing. Having traveled through the Yucatan, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico, the eastern US Seaboard and the Virgin Islands Captain John joined us aboard S/Y Catatonic with a vast knowledge of sailing and the Caribbean islands.

In addition to his sailing skills John brings us his many years of hospitality service and his expertise with blended drinks. Ask for it - he can make it! John is also a Licensed Commercial Pilot and a PADI SCUBA Instructor.

Nicolle Demond, chef and first mate, is a private caterer by trade. She lives on St. John with when not catering to your every culinary dream. You will delight in her varied and unique menus. Nicolle is a PADI Dive Master and looks forward to showing her culinary expertise, her unfailing optimistic and cheerful personality along with the best underwater sites around.
