Captain: Mark S.
Having grown up along the coast in South Africa, Mark started sailing when he was 8 years old. Competitive sailing took hold from a young age and over the years he went on to become National and State Champion and later campaigned for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. After the Olympics Mark began captaining vessels and has commanded a range of power and sailing vessels.
He has made several Atlantic crossings and has been a Charter Captain for the last 8 years chartering in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Bahamas. His range of experience, skill, boating abilities and his great sense of humor will ensure a fun-filled, exciting and safe vacation aboard La Dolce Vita.
Chef/Stewardess: Shannon
Raised in Annapolis, Maryland, one of the sailing capitals of the world, Shannon has had a love for the water since an early age. During university she worked in several five star restaurants and spent the past 5 years as a chef aboard luxury charter yachts. She has food excellent presentation and uses only the freshest produce. She will delight the most discerning palate with her culinary flair.
Mate: Mark
While attaining his Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality on the East Coast of Australia, Mark acquired a passion for the outdoor lifestyle and the ocean. He has been chartering for the last three years on sailing yachts and motor vessels and is a qualified ASA sailor. Whether it is water-skiing, diving or cocktails, Mark is always keen to provide a service that exceeds your expectations.
