He has raced various classes of sailboats since his early childhood and competed at the national championship level, winning several podium finishes in keelboat races, both single-handed and fully crewed divisions. His professional yachting career consists of sailing yachts, expedition yachts and motor yachts, which he has Captained around the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Red Sea, Great Lakes, and North Atlantic.

His other interests include furniture and boat building. He built a Flying Dutchman sailing dingy for the Canadian Olympic Sailing Team and assisted in the building of an Open 40 racing sailboat, the Spirit if Canada, for the 2003-04 Around Alone single-handed race around the globe.

Chef Robyn has been a chef aboard luxury yachts for the past six years on both private and charter vessels that include sailing monohulls and catamarans, and luxury motor and expedition yachts. After sailing out of Toronto with Marco, becoming a chef on a charter boat seemed a very natural transition.
