Catamaran Allendae Overview

Allende is a private luxury yacht charter for bespoke, all-inclusive vacations for up to six guests in three en-suite, air conditioned cabins.

The yacht reflects her owner-operator’s elegant design aesthetic accentuated with the best of their travels to date. They specifically chose the Fountaine Pajot Helia Evolution for the yacht’s light-filled interior and thoughtfully designed floor plan.

Allende offers a balanced mix of private living and social spaces for couples, families, and groups of friends. The salon doors slide away to connect the outdoor dining area and the interior salon. Seamless windows provide 360-degree views of the islands around.

The crew love to raise the sails for a true sailing experience and the yacht is equipped with a spinnaker for beautiful down wind runs on the Caribbean trade wind.

Meet the Crew

Graham & Kristiann

Graham & Kristiann Gips

Captain & Chef

Graham is an engineer by training who spent a successful 10-year career in the oil and gas industry. He learned to sail on a 20ft racing dinghy with Kristiann as crew. They raced weekly for several years, topped the local podium and earned the chance to compete internationally.

If you are new to sailing, Graham would love to teach you how much fun it can be to helm and tune the sails. He knows the islands well and can craft an itinerary that suits everyone aboard. When the anchor is set each evening, Graham turns his attention to crafting cocktails to your taste.

From 2011-2015, Kristiann ran a successful catering company. She honed her culinary skills by accommodating a wide variety of preferences and dietary needs each day. She loves to combine gourmet ingredients with local delicacies for new twists on classic dishes.

Avid travelers, Kristiann and Graham have lived on four continents and visited over 40 countries. Their experiences have taught them that great vacations are made up of many small details. Kristiann delights in tailoring the menu and creating special moments for each group of guests aboard.

In 2015, Graham and Kristiann reached a point where they could focus on what they love to do most: travel, host guests, and sail. They have sailed Allende since her launch in France, cruising the Bay of Biscay, Mediterranean Sea and crossing the Atlantic to meet you in the British Virgin Islands. Both Graham and Kristiann hold a Masters 50-ton license from the United States Coast Guard and are CPR/First Aid certified.

Graham and Kristiann welcome you to share in the luxurious life aboard Allende.

Sail Allende!!!!! 5 Stars---All the Way!!!!
I wanted to reach out to you and thank you for your help setting up our first and BEST sailboat trip in the BVI's. I can't explain how magical and perfect our trip was!!! The catamaran was amazing, but no matter how the boat was, you can never replicate the crew! Kristiann and Graham were soooo key to our trip being perfect, fun and delicious. The service was by far better than any luxury hotel I've stayed in. They both were low-key and accommodating, and sooo organized and prepared to supply their guest with the best of the best. I HIGHLY recommend making Sail Allende your first choice when a potential customer asks for your "opinion" as there are many boats/crew to choose from.

This trip touched my soul! I feel like I'll need to sail at least once a year, and I will only sail with Kristiann and Graham. They have a loyal following with me and my husband! Truly epic and remarkable experience thanks to them and their perfectly designed and well-maintained boat along with their 5-star meals, coffee, drinks, and appetizers!!!

The FOOD was AMAZING and sooooo THOUGHTFUL!!!! Loved Kristiann's very own homemade "Bushwacker" or "Frozen Lemonade." Let me not forget how Kristiann made homemade hamburger buns, homemade Key-Lime Pie (which she used a "blow-torch" to scorch the meringue on top------SO COOL!!!!), homemade Almond Cake, Homemade banana nut bread......... and they have a grill on board, so all of our meats were grilled and yummy right down to the "grilled pineapple" they served with our burgers. We appreciated so much of the thought, detail, and care that went into making our trip so special. I felt like the Queen of England on the seas!!! LOL

sailing itinerary Sample Itinerary

The British Virgin Islands are noted for their phenomenal physical beauty, its safe cruising waters and protected anchorages and its wonderful island people. The BVI have provided yachts with safe harbors since the days of Sir Francis Drake. To the day the same harbors are providing endless days of sailing, scuba-diving, kite-boarding and windsurfing. With the abundance of untouched green space, flamingos and iguanas sailing around the British Virgin Islands is a holiday never to forget.

Sample itinerary overview:
Day 1: Leave Tortola and head to White Bay, Peter Island, for stunning beaches and plenty of snorkeling. You can also explore the rest of the island, which is home to the luxurious and exclusive Peter Island Resort.

Day 2: Sail to Salt Island for more snorkeling on the wreck of the Rhone. If you'd prefer you can take the dinghy to shore and explore the island. After lunch sail up to Long Bay, Virgin Gorda, for a late afternoon cocktail or if you are still feeling active some more water sports in the clear blue sea.

Day 3: Take a hike on a nature trail to Savannah Bay, one of the most stunning beaches in the BVI. After lunch, sail to Eustatia Sound where you can explore the yachters paradise around Bitter End Yacht Club and Saba Rock. Possibly dine at Biras Creek Restaurant.

Day 4: A short motor or sail up the North Sound takes you past Necker Island. Then sail to Muskmellon Bay on Guana Island, where you can hike up a cliff path for a spectacular sunset view.

Day 5: Sail to the famous and unspoiled island of Jost Van Dyke. Start the day at Great Harbor or White Bay with a visit to the world famous "Soggy Dollar Bar" and then head down to Great Harbor to explore the many bars and restaurants including the world-renowned Foxy's bar.

Day 6:Early morning sail to Virgin Gorda. Arrive in time for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the boulders and rocks that form this natural wonder.

Day 7: Short sail back to Tortola.
