Amazing Blues is a 2015 Lagoon 560 S2 cruising catamaran available for crewed charter vacations sailing in the Caribbean Virgin and Leeward Islands.
The yacht offers the best in high tech sailing innovation and stylish, comfortable accommodations and four separate social areas so there is always a choice of where best to enjoy the moment.
The catamaran’s spacious salon is surrounded by vertical windows offering 360-degree visibility and plenty of natural light. A large u-shaped lounge is the central social area and converts to an elegant space for formal indoor dining. The large up-galley has a convenient storage console that separates it from the salon. Open the large sliding doors and the living area flows outside to the spacious aft terrace. Here guests can relax under a large bimini that shades a table and seating for eight or more as Amazing Blues installed the larger aft dining table for maximum comfort.
Up a spiral staircase from the main deck, the flybridge is a popular spot with guests. Forward and away, the helm is surrounded by electric winches and all the necessary sail-control lines for the skipper. At the aft of the flybridge there are cushioned benches for sitting and lounging and a great sunbathing area, all separated from the helm station. A canvas flybridge top helps protect everyone from the sun.
Heading forward, the yacht’s large foredeck provides wonderful spaces for sunbathing on large comfortable pads, perfect for experiencing the thrill of being under sail on this amazing sailing yacht.
Below deck, four splendid staterooms which accommodate eight guests in luxurious comfort. The aft starboard master cabin features a full walk-around bed, desk and sitting area, large en-suite bathroom, and access to both the aft terrace and main salon. The VIP cabin aft to port is entered through a companionway from the terrace, which provides a great deal of privacy. Two more queen cabins are forward, with a twin cabin amidships.

CAPTAIN JOHN CRAFFORD
John Crafford grew up on a farm near the Kruger Park in northeastern South Africa. Surrounded by acres of wilderness, he learned to ride a motorcycle before he could ride a bicycle. Growing up he spent loads of free time aboard the family boat catching fish and lobster and having fun. The family always stayed near the ocean. When John was not out with them on the boat he was honing his surfing skills. He remembers, "As a kid I always used to sit on the rocks after surfing and wish I had a yacht that I could just sail straight toward the horizon until I hit land again."
John has sailed extensively throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean including St Martin, St Barth's, Anguilla, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Guadeloupe. He is a keen diver and is especially enthusiastic about charter guests who want to explore the undersea world. When underway with a nice stiff breeze, he goes full sail, letting the yacht slice through the waves, often with guests enjoying a turn at the helm. At the end of an exciting day there's nothing more sublime than relaxing on the aft deck, tropical cocktail in hand, and discussing tomorrow's adventures.
As a charter Captain, John's goal is to create a homey environment where people feel safe and comfortable. "People have always complemented us on how relaxed they felt on our yacht. We aim to create a vacation where CEO's, doctors, and parents can just let go and feel like kids again." His motto: A positive life is a happy life. ..read more
CHEF/MATE SHIRELLE PARIS
Shirelle was raised in Israel, in a small town where people cared a lot about nature. Her family grew their own organic fruits and vegetables. She believes that there is no substitute for the freshest, local ingredients when designing a menu. When she was 20 years old she moved to a picturesque surfing town in the coast. There, she was completely captivated by the vastness and beauty of the Mediterranean Sea. She plunged into water sports with zeal; sailing, paddle boarding, diving, and snorkeling.
On shore, cooking was always an important event in her family. She recalls, "We always used to host a lot of guests for dinner. From the time that I was a young kid I was there to help my mother with meal preparation for the crowd. I enjoyed being in the kitchen with her. She was a very talented, creative cook and taught me all different types of cuisine from all over the world." While Shirelle's favorite culinary style is Mediterranean, she can easily cater to lots of different preferences, from Asian cuisine to American comfort food. In fact, Shirelle majored in nutrition and holistic studies in college and has expertise in special diets.
As a stewardess, Shirelle aims to make Amazing Blues a home away from home for her guests. The yacht has a superb layout, whether guests want to be together, or find a little personal space. There are lots of toys on board and Shirelle is a patient instructor for guests who want to try something new. She says, "I am really relaxed and easy going. Whatever guests need I'm there for them. I love making people happy and serving great food is my way to show happiness and love.

Each morning after breakfast our dear Captain John proposed several plans for the day and we chose what seemed the most interesting to us. Captain John is kind, funny and very helpful, even took us tubing. That was an adventure!
As we requested vegan and non-gluten meals for the four days on the Amazing Blues, Chef Shirelle tackled the challenge with grace. She cooked delicious breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and of course dessert! Some of our favorite items: almond pilaf hummus, tuna (yes, we ate fish), quiche, endless tasty salads, key lime pie, so much! She is very sweet, kind and it was such a pleasure to have met her! The harmony on the catamaran was spectacular!
If you can, charter Amazing Blues and be prepared for the most fantastic captain and first mate/chef, John and Shirelle. I almost cried when we had to leave...that's how awesome they were. We have A LOT of food sensitivities/health issues in the family and Shirelle bent over backwards to make sure everyone stayed healthy and incredibly well fed. Remarkable feat!

Island adventures on Virgin Gorda; a hike to the baths and the cab ride was fun (chickens, goats, giant boulders!) Anegada Island never disappoints! Lovely bay, and dinner on the beach with everyone was a great way to end the day.

Will and Rene were fabulous. Very friendly, accommodating and willing to customize our trip at any point.
Amazing Blues was amazing (can I say that?!?!). Therefore aptly named. Almost brand new, more spacious than we anticipated and the crew is fastidious about maintenance!
Food was great. Both crew members can cook and they were very willing to customize.
All in all our family had the trip of a lifetime.
