Captain Kevin Williams, or 'Captain K', is a consummate sailor (not to mention endless fun!). Having grown up on the Great Lakes in Eastern Michigan, he followed his passion in the footsteps of his father and uncles by restoring boats, building boats and making long deliveries. With a background in Civil Engineering and boat mechanics, a 100-ton Master and having completed his International Leadership course, Kevin exemplifies all the qualities you want and expect in a competent captain. He is passionate about meeting the needs and goals of guests, helping others learn and expand their knowledge of sailing and sharing his love of the Caribbean.
In addition to being an avid fan of all kinds of watersports, fishing and winter sports, Captain K is also musically talented. Most important of all: he is patient and kind and loves working with young people to help them become future caretakers of the sea.
Captain Kevin holds a 100 ton USCG master's license and STCW.

Captain Kevin is fantastic; he is very skilled at his craft, professional and fun! It was so refreshing to have a captain that made us feel very safe while at the same time being a welcome member of the group and joining us in laughs! Kevin's knowledge of the Virgin Islands helped us build such an enjoyable itinerary. We did everything we wanted and much much more!
It was an added bonus when we realized Kevin was a fisherman. We caught a bunch of fish in deep water going from island to island. We ended up keeping a grouper and mackerel to eat. Kevin was happy to fillet them for us (not one bone found!) and he had a restaurant cook and serve the fish to us with sides. It was such a delicious and memorable meal. The fishing just may have been the highlight of the trip for all four us, so much excitement and SO many laughs! Kevin went above and beyond in every way during our week. Even up to the last hour on our charter, when he made sure that we squeezed in what ended up being the best snorkeling of the trip. We were so appreciative to maximize the trip down to the last minute.
Elixir is clean, very well-maintained and has very comfortable accommodations below deck. Although we've only done an adults only trip aboard, my husband and I have talked about how appealing Elixir would be for our 3 children. Water toys combined with the ability to do something new each day, would make for an unforgettable family vacation.
Our hope is to be lucky enough to repeat this trip annually. Trust me, before your trip is even over, you'll be planning your next, you just can't help it! Until next time....

Captain Kevin and Bri were the perfect crew for our group. Most of our group was in the middle age area with one exception of a 30 year old. We happened to travel at the time of the waves of the century - lol! We had 8 to 10 foot waves or more the entire trip so we were not able to get to a few of the places we had planned on going to. It was a safety factor explained by Kevin and was appreciated by all. We traveled every day to a new site that he could get us into and spent the days in the sun and checking out the local sites. We did not miss what we were not able to get to.
Kevin and Bri were both very knowledgeable about the area and knew where to take us to have fun. The boat was clean as were the rooms. Plenty of room for our stuff. Everyday while we were traveling we sat on top and looked forward to where we were going.
The food we had requested was at hand and was marvelously cooked by Bri. She really has a knack for putting food together and presenting it. I even tried food that I have never tried in my life like brussel sprouts! The way she cooked them made them tasty.
I have never laughed so much on a trip before and we embraced Kevin and Bri as part of our group. We had an awesome time and looking forward to doing it again.
Thanks for an awesome and unforgettable trip!

So much to see and do, all of us have the same opinion: The trip of a lifetime! Thank you!
We will highly recommend this trip to friends. ~The Lebsons
Our trip was fulfilled on many fronts. Yes, the Caribbean is warm, embracing and beautiful but it was the learning you provided that made this experience one to behold. We enjoyed various Island visits, exquisite snorkeling in the areas you sought for us, swimming, shopping and lounging. The gracious hospitality you provided on and off the boat was as relaxing as the trip was exhilarating. You helped us make it what we wanted. Incrementally, your cooking, food and refreshments were fabulous!
Thank you for conducting our trip with pride, knowledge and experiences we never could have figured out on our own. The journey you took us on will never be forgotten and will be cherished forever. Look for us again because we want to create more memories.
Thank you for your exceptional hospitality.
