Catamaran Great Adventure Overview

Great Adventure is a 2014, bright and spacious Lagoon 450 crewed catamaran available for luxury crewed charter in the Caribbean and based in the Virgin Islands. This luxury catamaran sleeps up to 6 guests in comfort and style.

The stylish galley and saloon are tastefully designed and equipped. The saloon has wrap-around windows, providing uninterrupted views during your yacht charter. There is also a chocolate leather couch in the main salon with matching leather stools.

This Lagoon 450 is fully air conditioned and has a high output reverse osmosis water maker, powered either by shore power or by a whisper-quiet generator, located away from sleeping quarters, making for a peaceful night's sleep during your sailing vacation.

On deck, the Lagoon 450 boasts extensive seating both forward of the saloon and aft, as well as a large swimming platform, ideal to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the British Virgin Islands. The raised fly bridge gives a panoramic bird's eye view at anchor and under sail. With a beam of nearly 26 feet, she is very stable, never heeling more than 5 degrees, with wide decks and recessed hatches, to make moving around the yacht a breeze and with enough space for everyone aboard to find their own favorite place to read, sunbathe or simply watch the ever changing seascapes go sailing by.

The spacious cockpit comfortably sits all guests around an ample table to make dining al fresco a pleasure. There is a ventilation hatch on the bridge deck, which funnels a cooling breeze into the cockpit area. Three double en-suite air conditioned cabins provide comfortable accommodation for guests.

For such a spacious yacht, she is surprisingly nimble, and the gullwing shaped bridge deck makes her very comfortable underway, no slapping or slamming aboard this beauty, and you can hop between islands in under an hour, or choose to spend longer under sail - the choice is entirely yours during your cruise through the BVIs.

Our luxury crewed Lagoon 450 is truly a superb yacht where the idyllic scenery changes with every blink of the eye, as you sail through "nature's little secrets" - the beautiful Caribbean island chain of the British Virgin Islands.

Meet the Crew

Grayson & Catherine Graham

Captain: Grayson Graham

Captain Grayson has lived on boats and sailed his entire life. Born in Southern California, he sailed and played in the ocean from a very early age. When Grayson was five years old his family relocated to the Puget Sound, with family sailing adventures every summer. Digging clams, sailing camps, and wake boarding with his friends filled his youth. He became certified as a scuba diver at the age of twelve years old.

In 2004, along with his family, he sailed 7,000 miles, visiting seven countries and twenty-three islands from the Atlantic coast of France to the Caribbean. He went on to finish his high school career at Hawaii Preparatory Academy, where he met Catherine, the love of his life. In San Diego, he attended and graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelors degree in Business.

Recently, Grayson was at the helm of Great Adventure circumnavigating the Mediterranean and then crossing the Atlantic to the British Virgin Islands, logging nearly 8,000 miles. Today he has sailed over 18,000 miles.

For those interested in surfing, Grayson has surfed the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Southern California. Grayson is a licensed United States Coast Guard Captain and looks forward to sharing his passion for sailing and water sports with his guests aboard Great Adventure.

Chef/Hostess: Catherine (Kat) Rose Graham

Catherine was born and raised in Bend, Oregon. She attended Hawaii Preparatory Academy for High School and just absolutely fell in love with the Islands. Catherine graduated from the Art institute of San Diego with her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design...read more

Catherines love of the water developed on family rafting trips in Oregon and competing on the Ka Makani Outrigger canoe team while on the Big Island of Hawaii. Along with Captain Grayson, she has sailed and crewed in the Puget Sound and off the Coast of Southern California extensively. She loves to be creative and to explore her artistic side. Meeting new people, trying new things, and creative cooking are each some of her biggest passions. She added to her culinary skills by taking several professional cooking classes. In sailing Great Adventure over 8,000 miles between the Mediterranean and the British Virgin Islands, she was truly able to hone her culinary skills.

Preparing enticing meals is a passion for Catherine. With the use of fresh, local ingredients and focus on detail, her meals will exceed the expectations of her guests. The opportunity to combine both her passions of cooking and the water was enough for her to take a break from her career in graphic design and share the islands with her guests.

New Crew starting November 2017!

Conor Dugan and Taylor Esposito bring a strong sailing background, adventurous spirits and professional service background to the Virgin Islands charter industry.

Conor was born and raised in a small shore town in New Jersey, racing Optis, Lasers and 420s at a young age. His love of sailing progressed into his high-school years; he and his family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, where he worked summers teaching youth sailing. After a summer spent living aboard a 50' catamaran in the Grenadines, Conor knew that sailing would be a part of his life forever. His passion for sailing continued high-school and into college, he spent his summers on Bald Head Island, NC, teaching sailing aboard J80s on the challenging waters of the Cape Fear River. Soon after graduating from UNC Charlotte, Conor decided to move to the US Virgin Islands to pursue a career as a licensed captain, running day charter catamarans out of the Westin and the Ritz-Carlton, before joining Great Adventure.

Taylor was born and raised in Upstate New York. Growing up, she spent summers on the rivers among the 1000 Islands, Old Forge Lake in the Adirondacks, and on the beaches of North Carolina. After high school, she chose a route of independence: she moved to Hawaii, learned how to surf and fell in love with the island life. Living for four years on Maui, she developed a passion for a more natural lifestyle. Her time abroad in Thailand, Indonesia, and Central and South America taught Taylor about different flavors and ingredients, which continue to inspire her cooking. Her culinary instincts are illustrated in her creative style, using healthy, colorful ingredients that taste amazing and leave her guests feeling great. Taylors love for sailing has reached new heights in the Virgin Islands; working as crew aboard day charter sailing catamarans, teaching sailing aboard Hobie 16s in the St. John National park, and spending time on the water with Conor has shaped Taylor into a well seasoned sailor.

Conor and Taylor combine their love for sailing and being on the water with a strong sense of adventure and attention to detail. They have amassed a wealth of worldly knowledge and skills that they use to create unforgettable vacation experiences that will leave their guests with new perspectives and life-long memories.

Additional reviews:

By far this last trip was spectacular
Thank you for all your help in making our BVI trip a success. All four of us had a wonderful time. My biggest thanks to you is for recommending Great Adventure.

Carmen and I have now been to the BVIs for the 3rd time and by far this last trip was spectacular. Not to say that the other two times were bad, on the contrary, they were wonderful as well. The difference, however, was spending the week on Great Adventure with Grayson and Kat! All four of us were overwhelmed with their hospitality and knowledge of the BVIs making us feel as though they know exactly what we were looking for to have a great week. Kats food was fabulous especially being able to accommodate me who doesnt eat fish while letting my guests enjoy it. The different sauces each night and the morning pancakes were a huge hit! Both Grayson and Kat were the perfect hosts! Graysons knowledge of the area and confidence in running a fun yet safe cruise allowed us to experience other parts of the BVIs which we had not seen before.

We highly recommend Great Adventure for your other guests who want to have a terrific week in the BVIs snorkeling, diving, sailing, island hopping, eating and, of course,
drinking a few cold frosties with friends and a wonderful crew!

Best Regards,
We had amazing experiences throughout our entire trip!
Kat and Grayson are gracious, warm, fun, friendly and hardworking. They went
over and beyond to make sure that we had amazing experiences throughout our
entire trip! They also had many special surprises for us around every
corner. We had so much fun with them!

Great Adventure was the perfect size, and has a fabulous layout. Kat did a great job cooking creative and delicious meals for us. Everything was met and even more!

We just got home last night from our trip on the "Great Adventure" with Kat and Grayson Graham. We had a fabulous trip. The boat is really set up physically for "hosting" 3 couples easily. There are multiple places to "hang out" when we wanted to be together or when we wanted more private time. More important than the boat however was that our crew, Kat and Grayson are a really nice couple. They may be young (in fact they are younger than our kids) but they are energetic and as focused on service, safety and making sure we all had a great trip as any crew could possibly be and all six of us could only give them an unqualified 100% A+ rating. .They really were fabulous and genuinely nice couple. Just wanted you to give you this input since they are relatively new to the charter business.

Thank you also for your help setting up our charter. Everything worked like clockwork. We will be back. Dan and Lynn Terhorst
Great Adventure
Dear Adele & Mike, Joy & Gray,
My husband and I just spent the past week aboard the "Great Adventure" with good friends in the B.V.I. We pleaded with Kat & Grayson to give us your email addresses as several of us felt compelled to let you know what amazing young adults you have raised. As a mother of four young adults (ages 16, 21, 23, 25) I had to share with you my husband's and my sentiments regarding Kat & Grayson. As host & hostess, co-captains of the Great Adventure, phenomenal! Grayson is a confident, knowledgable captain, who handled the boat with grace and style, considered safety, sailing conditions, our comfort, and never hesitated to cater to our desires. (My husband and I are runners and often needed a dingy ride to shore to go for a run!) Kat is a sweetheart and an amazing chef. It was one delicious meal after another. Their warm personalities, confidence, maturity and genuine hospitality was deeply appreciated. I know you must be very proud of them. We had a remarkable week and will be sure to tell all of our family & friends about Kat & Grayson and inform them all about where they may encounter a true "Great Adventure." Hope you are well.
Warmest regards,
