Captain Eriz and First Mate Nirit were fantastic. Big smiles, warm hearts, energetic, professional, safe-minded, knowledgeable, and a huge desire to please and serve the guest. Ill start by saying we were greeted with big hugs at the immigration port on Tortola and taken directly to our boat. Nice, heavy snacks were served and we were given an overview of our week and the safety features. From there, it just got better and better.
We had childrenages 5 & 7 with us and they were treated warmly and just enough attention. The crew did play a treasure hunt with them that turned out to be a highlight of the trip for the children. So clever, and realistic, the children were overwhelmed. The Captain met with us early each day to explain activities for the day and what we could expect. Always willing to change or accommodate to our needs.
I found the boat to be exceptional. It was clean, functional, and plenty of places to relax during the day. The crew worked tirelessly to keep it clean and orderly. We motored and we sailed. Our cabin was very adequate with in-suite bathroom/shower, plenty of storage, and good a/c.
The crew, I found to be absolutely phenomenal in all aspects of their job. The Captain was very knowledgeable, funny, quiet, professional, interactive, attentive to our needs, hard working. The same can be said about Nirit, she was always smiling, working, cooking, good with children. Both had positive attitudes all week. I can saywe were all better off by having been around Eriz and Nirit during the week.
Maybe the best for lastthe food. I have had the pleasure of traveling and have never experienced food of this caliber. Nirit is an amazing chef. She provided food for us three times a day and snacks at five and it could not have been better. All of our preferences we suggested prior to our trip were met and more. She has a particular knack for preparation, presentation, and tasteful menus that exceeded our expectations. It was different each day and we even began taking pics of each meal and the presentations because they were works of art. She worked tirelessly in the galley almost all dayand in between, cleaned our cabins. Amazing!!
It was truly an amazing trip for our family, full of memories. I found it to be well worth the planning and expense. My family has called it a trip of a lifetime.
Thanks you for the help in making it such an exceptional trip for me and my family. I could not have done it without your attention to detail. Many thanks.
With Respect, JS.
Specifics: They worked seamlessly as an amazing team, attending to anything and everything we needed or wanted. Within 24 hours each of them had a handle on the individual likes, dislikes, fears, strengths and weaknesses of the 7 guests on the catamaran. Certain guests were a bit hesitant to go snorkeling/ swimming, etc. because their skills were a bit lacking and they were able to allay their fears and give them pointers along the way, enhancing their vacations. Both Erez and Nirit, were very safety conscious, which is oftentimes is hard to master with a group of 7. Our captain came up with the most amazing quiet coves for us to anchor during the day and for the night, each better than the last. The captain also took one of the guests scuba diving and he was thrilled. He also took several of us on a hike on Norman Island which was amazing. Our chef was fabulous. She spent easily 15 hours a day (at least) cooking for us and the food was comparable to that of any great restaurant in NYC. The selection of dishes was varied and both the taste and the presentation were tops.
They were warm and charming in their own way. As they dropped us off in Tortola after the trip, we were all a little sad to say goodbye. They are phenomenal and far surpassed our expectations. Make sure you keep them happy and hold onto them. They made our special vacation all the more special. We all loved the vacation, the catamaran and most importantly, the crew. A+!
The crew was a delightful. Captain Andre was knowable of the BVIs. We asked to avoid crowds and still see the sights. He managed to do just that. Nancy, our steward and 1st mate, though not a regular on the boat, was a true gem. She contributed to our enjoyment and comforts without hesitation. Cressi the chef aboard has a natural ability. She made complex food parings and the meal presentation was very entertaining.
Aletheia was clean, well maintained and ventilated. The fly bridge was our favorite spot, roomy and great for catching rays and star gazing.
The chef was young and very talented in her complex pairings of foods. She strived to have something new and different. We choose not to leave the boat and stay aboard for her meals.
We as a group asked to travel opposite of the crowds, seeing the same sights. Andre took all this into account and always had an eye on the weather and winds.
Personal note, I was the facilitator in our trip planning. I interviewed two other charter companies and John was the most gracious and through the entire process exceeded all my expectations.
