Captain Brendon has spent the majority of his life out on the water. Growing up, he spent his weekends sailing the family’s Pearson 37 and Moody 51 in areas such as Cape Cod and along the Maine coastline. His first job, a sailing instructor for an inner city yacht club, compensated Brendon with racing lessons each evening after work, furthering his love for the sport. He took a short break form cruising and sailing while at university instead pursuing the skiing, mountain climbing and biking that northern Vermont has to offer. However when he was offered the dream job of working for a flotilla sailing company in the Mediterranean he jumped back into sailing with both feet. For three years he skippered yachts all over the Mediterranean facilitating “once in a lifetime” vacation experiences for his guests. The opportunity to skipper the 47’ Catamaran Pisces in 2015 brought him to the USVI where he spent the next year showing guests the time of their lives around the US and British Virgin Islands.
Brendon joins Karizma, excited to take the helm of a big catamaran that is outfitted so perfectly for families. Fishing, diving and water sports are all activities that he loves and he looks forward to becoming the “Chief Fun Officer” on board.
Alice Neuhoff joins Brendon aboard Karizma as chef and first mate. Alice grew up in Columbus, Ohio where her family was always involved in the restaurant business owning several as well as a meat and seafood distribution company over the years. Hospitality came naturally to Alice and waitressing at fine dining establishments helped pay her way through college as a Fine Arts major. But it wasn’t until she began working in the kitchen, that she discovered that the creativity of food preparation really appealed to her artistic spirit. Alice decided to commit to this career path and moved to New York City to attend the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). Following her training she joined a catering company as chef, turning out dazzling cuisine for everything from high society weddings to large scale corporate events. ..read more
Alice met Brendon when they were both working for a European travel company running crewed sailing charters in the Mediterranean. When she discovered that she could combine her love for food, travel and hospitality her career as a charter chef was born. Alice looks forward to pleasing the palates of her guests aboard Karizma!
Meet Brad and Kathy Korth!
Brad grew up boating, waterskiing, hunting, fishing and four-wheeling in the beautiful outdoors of Idaho. In addition to travel, Brad enjoys running and recently completed the Seattle Marathon in record slow time! This experience led Brad to believe anything is possible as long as you put one foot forward.
Brad first recognized a keen interest for water sports while working on his Eagle Scout Badge. Feeling more at home on water than on land, being on a boat is definitely his “Happy Place.” His passion for sailing grew out of a trip to Tahiti where he and his wife, Kathy, became acquainted with the cruising life. Coming home to Idaho they bought their first sailboat in a used car lot and taught themselves to sail on mountain lakes. Trading that first boat for a larger one, Brad attended a live-aboard ASA certification course in San Diego and shortly thereafter the two sailed their new boat in the Sea of Cortez.
Yearning for larger sailing grounds, Brad and Cathy relocated to the Pacific Northwest to chase the sailing dream and sailed extensively in Puget Sound, the San Juan and Canadian Gulf Islands and up into Desolation Sound. They lived aboard their own 42’ sailboat for 5 years when, wanting to share their love of sailing, they opened and operated a successful vacation property and day-charter business on San Juan Island. After becoming “empty-nesters” they realized their dream of living where “the weather suits their clothes”and continue to enjoy the chartering, hospitality, and sailing life-style in the Caribbean!

Marcus and Risa were the best crew we could have imagined! They made our stay very special. This vacation will definitely stay in our mind!
Karizma was comfortable, clean and ventilated: all of it, yes! Marcus & Risa cleaned up during the week, for example when we were all snorkeling in the water, by the time we came back to the boat everything was cleaned up. During the sailing we stayed at the front in the morning / evening more in the back of the yacht. Every location was really nice. In addition we liked the fact that every bedroom had its own bathroom.
We enjoyed every meal prepared by Risa! She is very professional and was a brilliant cook! We were always looking forward to breakfast / lunch / dinner time. Risa always asked if there is something somebody doesn't like and customized the dishes, it was great!
Marcus & Risa included us in the planning of the route and islands we want to go according to our preferences (more party vs more quiet). They recommended us to go up to Anegada (which we did) and it was actually our favorite island!
John, it was great to have you as a fast responding partner at any time for all kinds of questions! Thanks a lot!
Just want to highlight once again that Marcus & Risa did an incredible job. Marcus was always open minded in some action (riding the hot dog, dive board) and he sailed us every day in a great mood to great places! Risa cooked everyday awesome dishes, helped Markus, told us the best places. They were both a great company! We would love to spend another vacation with them!
