8-Day Cruise, St. Maarten to Antigua (more Caribbean options available):

We invite you to spend eight days of luxurious relaxation aboard the magnificent Starfire. The following itinerary will have you leisurely exploring the enchantment of the Leeward Islands. With their clusters of glistening emerald-hilled isles and islets lined with silky white beaches, this necklace of small island jewels also presents the ultimate in diverse Caribbean atmosphere and culture.

Beginning in Simpson Bay on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten, we will travel just around the corner to visit the French-ruled side: Saint Martin. From there, we will sail on to experience the more remote paradise, Anguilla, before making our way to the incredibly chic and picture-perfect island of St. Barts. Next, it's on to tiny, yet mountainous, Nevis'a lush, green, and unspoiled Caribbean paradise.

We will end our journey with two days in popular and lively Antigua, but not before visiting its sister island (although, the two couldn't be more different), Barbuda. Here you will enjoy a more tranquil and serene setting where relaxation happens effortlessly.

Keep in mind that itineraries are only guidelines. The following outline for your journey is subject to change, as we are dependant on favorable winds and seas. However, we know the area very well and always have a contingency plan!

Our Starfire crew will ensure you see all the highlights while offering the ultimate in personal service and guest care. Welcome aboard!!

Day 1 - Pick-up St. Maarten
On arrival at the airport, a host from the Starfire crew warmly welcomes you to St. Maarten & St. Martin, where you are about to sample two diverse cultures neatly contained on one 37-square-mile island. From French bakeries and boutiques on one end, to wild-night casinos on the other, this island is literally two worlds in one: half belongs to France and half to the Netherlands.

Within minutes you will be onboard the M&Y Starfire, waiting for you in Simpson Bay, on the Dutch side of St. Maarten. After your journey there will be time to relax, explore your surroundings, and meet the entire Starfire crew before we embark on a short, one-hour cruise over to Marigot Bay - the capital on the French side of the island. Here you will find an excellent spot for watersports action.

This evening, we will anchor out off of Marigot Bay where you can dine onboard under the stars or head ashore to dine at one of the island's many fine restaurants.

Day 2 - Anguilla
This morning your crew will serve breakfast alfresco as your Skipper sets sail for another short, one-hour cruise north to the wild island of Anguilla.

With its magnificent, deserted, white sand beaches, Anguilla is little more than a strip of sand some 16 miles long by 3 miles wide. We will find an anchorage spot in Long Bay for the afternoon where you can relax, sunbathe, and take a light lunch.

The waters around this idyllic Caribbean sanctuary are a National Park, and the numerous reefs also make this a perfect spot for snorkeling or scuba diving.

You may also choose to take a tender ashore to explore the island's secluded beaches. Anguilla is also a top birding spot with over 80 species of birds that either migrate or permanently reside here. It is hardly surprising that this small island ranks as an expensive top end destination in the Eastern Caribbean.

This evening, Starfire will remain at anchor off of Anguilla. Enjoy a relaxing dinner onboard.

Day 3 - lle Fourchue & St. Barts
This morning we will travel to the uninhabited Ile Fourchue. Take time to snorkel and admire the multi-colored fauna. Then, bathe in the sun and enjoy cocktails and a gourmet lunch before we head on to the popular yachting center of St. Barts.

St. Barts, also known as St. Barth, St. Barths, and St. Barthelemy, is located in the French West Indies and, at eight miles long, is one of the tiniest islands in the entire Caribbean. Gustavia, the picture-postcard capital, is an enchanting harbor town where we will dock for the evening.

You will have plenty of opportunity to explore its downtown, which includes dozens of chic boutiques, duty-free shops, galleries, and an open-air market. You will also discover world-famous restaurants and bars housed in buildings that date back to the Swedes and the early French settlers.

Day 4 - Anse Colombier & St. Barts
We will leave the dock at Gustavia this morning to travel over to Anse Colombieran idyllic and a favorite spot for yachts to anchor, and a favorite meeting place for tortoises, rays, lobster and dolphins.

This beach hideaway is still called 'Rockefeller's Beach' because for many years, David Rockefeller owned the property that surrounds it.

Today, you could opt to take advantage of scuba diving or snorkeling opportunities, or simply relax onboard and soak in this oasis of peace and tranquility.

This evening, we will return to the dock in Gustavia where you are welcome to once again explore the opportunities for shopping, dining, and exploring this lively and fashionable port.

Day 5 - Nevis
This morning, we leave St. Barts to head out on a 5-hour jaunt to Nevis, a small island (36-square miles) that is also very mountainous (rising to 3,600 ft. above sea level) and comes complete with rain forests, tropical flower gardens, and unspoiled and uncrowded beaches.

Take a tender ashore to stroll around and see the architecture of eras gone by: churches, windmills, and refurbished Great Houses. The 10,000 residents on the island are friendly, helpful, and ready to make new friends with their genuine charm and hospitality.

We will anchor here, in front of the Four Seasons resort, for the afternoon and night.

Day 6 - Barbuda
We will depart Nevis early this morning for a 5-hour cruise to Barbuda. Barbuda is Antigua's sister island; although, it could not be more different.

You will find a Caribbean island that is unspoiled by tourism. It is renowned for its vistas of shimmering beaches which are natural, sprinkled with pink sand, and miles long.

The island, just 15 miles long and eight miles wide, has the deep blue Atlantic on one side with wild beaches full of driftwood and shells and the calm Caribbean sea on the other - perfect for swimming and snorkelling, with plenty of opportunities to see turtles and many varieties of tropical fish undisturbed in the turquoise water. It really is a picture book Caribbean island.

Starfire will sail casually around the island to the eastern side of Coco Point where we will drop anchor in the reef-fringed Gravenor Bay, which offers good protection against a western swell.

This evening, dine onboard ship and reflect on the day's sites by relaxing under the stars.

Day 7 - Antigua, Green Island and Falmouth Harbor
We will set out this morning for a 3-hour cruise to Green Island, an uninhabited island just off the east coast of Antigua that offers a wide variety of pristine white sand and secluded beaches to discover.

We will anchor for lunch here in a secluded, sheltered bay where you can swim and snorkel surrounded by a multitude of brightly colored tropical sea life. Or if you prefer, go ashore to explore the island. You'll find it virtually unchanged from the time it was discovered by European sailors 500 years ago.

Late in the afternoon, we will cruise on to the bustling Falmouth Harbor on the island of Antigua. Here, you will find the Nicholson Yacht Charter Show taking place. We will dock here for the night so that you can partake in the numerous activities going on around us.

Day 8 - Antigua (Noon departure)
Have breakfast onboard during your final morning onboard and perhaps take some time to shop ashore before your departure here in Antigua.

As your journey aboard Starfire comes to an end, you can be certain that you have enjoyed the definitive Caribbean getaway!

Your itinerary is completely flexible depending on how active or relaxed you would like to be during your charter. Prior to your vacation the crew will be in touch to introduce themselves and discuss an itinerary outline with you. Ultimately this is your private yacht, so you can change your plans and stay longer in an area, or head off to new shores whenever you'd like - it is entirely up to you.
